Where Heritage is Honoured, and Legacy is Lived
Martha’s Farmhouse is more than a retreat—it’s about family, the strength of a mother, and the spirit of land that refused to be forgotten.
In 1949, our grandfather passed away from cancer, leaving behind a young daughter, Martha, just six years old, and some land she was too young to farm. Orphaned and later a single mother of three, Martha never let go of that land. She held onto it with quiet determination and through decades of unwavering hope until her passing in 1999, when she left it to her three children.
In her honour, we built this farmhouse—a sanctuary of peace, beauty, and purpose—rooted in the very soil she protected. Today, it stands as both a luxurious countryside escape and a living tribute to family and love.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Uganda, Martha’s Farmhouse blends timeless heritage with refined comfort. Here, you’ll wake to birdsong and freshly roasted coffee, stroll through our thriving coffee and vanilla fields, and experience warm, personalised hospitality.
From serene private stays to immersive farm visits and the bold flavour of our internationally celebrated coffee, everything we do is crafted with care and steeped in story. Come for the charm. Leave with a memory

Coffee exports
Coffee Exports - Martha’s Farmhouse works with 5,000 small holder farmers producing both Arabica and Robusta coffee in Bugisu (western slope of Mt Elgon, Sironko district) and central Uganda (Masaka, Mityana and Mukono regions). These together produce 2,000 metric tonnes of ready for export coffee per year and we are targeting 15,000 small holder farmers to be able to produce 6,000 metric tonnes per year.
